NRCF CHAIR

John Callanan

Relevant experience:
Nicole has a passion for helping people, organisations and communities discover and leverage their strengths. Nicole has spent over 25 years working in the human services sector and now runs her own consulting practice. She specialises in supporting leaders and teams to work more strategically and smoothly together. Most of her clients are non-profits and small to medium businesses operating in the disability, ageing, health, and other ‘people’ focused sectors. She brings her extensive experience in governance, leadership, policy, community development and program management to her role at NRCF.

Why I joined:
My first volunteer role was fundraising for the RSPCA as a 13-year old and a student mentor in high school. Since then I’ve sought out opportunities to give back to my community. After moving to the Northern Rivers in 2017 I was keen to make connections and contribute. The mission and purpose of NRCF is aligned with what I deeply value: building capacity and strengths in communities. In my work over many years I have seen the direct impact that philanthropy makes. Even the smallest grant can create a powerful ripple effect. I’m proud to be part of such a skilled and committed team.

What I do:
Chair of NRCF; Member of the Governance Sub-Committee
