Relevant Experience:
Matt is the Founder of True North Accountants, a Byron Bay-based advisory firm supporting small businesses across the Northern Rivers. As a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA), he brings more than 25 years’ experience in financial strategy, governance, tax advisory and business growth.
Throughout his career, Matt has worked closely with business owners and leadership teams to strengthen financial oversight, improve cash flow management and support sustainable long-term planning. His experience spans both public practice and commercial organisations, giving him a practical and grounded approach to financial stewardship.
Why I joined:
Having lived in the Northern Rivers with my family since 2017, I feel strongly about contributing to the strength and resilience of our local community. The work NRCF does to support grassroots organisations and create lasting impact across the region is incredibly important, and I’m proud to contribute my skills and experience to support that mission.
What I do: Treasurer of NRCF; Member of the Finance and Investment Committee.
