Grants will support the ongoing and significant recovery work being undertaken in the aftermath of the February and March 2022 flooding events with grants up to $50,000
The Northern Rivers Community Foundation has launched its largest Community Grants Round to date, with a funding pool of $1,068,922.
CEO Sam Henderson said the increased funding amount spoke to the increased need in the community, following the two flooding events of February and March 2022, and the incredible generosity of donors who rose to meet that increased need.
This year our annual Community Grants Round supports 49 community organisations with Flood Relief Grants; Recovery and Resilience Grants and Small Grants. It is also the first year grants of up to $50,000 dollars have been distributed, in addition to the Small Grants of $10,000.
The 2022/2023 Community Grant impact areas are:
1. Disadvantage
2. Mental Health and Wellbeing
3. Housing and Homelessness
4. Environment
5. Recovery and Resilience
A sincere thanks to our network of donors who have made these grants possible, and a huge congratulations to our community organisation recipients. We look forward to supporting you through the completion of your projects.
