Our Free Grant Writing Workshops are back!

NRCF AdminNews, Newsletter

The Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF) is hitting the road this May, delivering a series of free Grant Writing Workshops to support local not-for-profit organisations, community groups and grassroots initiatives to strengthen their funding applications.

With seven in-person workshops scheduled across the region, along with an online session, this practical series is designed to build the skills and confidence of organisations seeking funding from government and philanthropic sources. From Mullumbimby to Grafton, Nimbin to Byron Bay, NRCF’s grants team will be working directly with community organisations to demystify the grant writing process and share practical tools that can be applied straight away.

Participants will learn how to structure a compelling application, align projects with funding priorities, and clearly demonstrate community impact. The workshops will also cover common pitfalls and provide guidance on strengthening budgets and evaluation plans. Designed to be accessible and hands-on, the sessions draw on real examples from successful local projects and create space for questions, discussion and shared learning.

These workshops are part of NRCF’s broader commitment to supporting the strength and sustainability of the Northern Rivers community sector, not just through funding, but by building capability and connecting organisations with the tools they need to thrive. Whether you are new to grant writing or looking to refine your approach, these sessions offer valuable insights to help improve your chances of securing funding.
