Newly Launched Sub Fund Helps NFPs Go Green

Founded in 2004, COREM is a progressive non-profit community action group based on inspiring leadership in our sustainable future. Profits from solar installations over the coming years will benefit the sustainable development of the Northern Rivers community at large, both now and for generations to come.

By being able to access a zero-interest loan for solar, community organisations in our region can transition to renewable energy sooner rather than later and put more of their funding into much needed projects rather than spending it on electricity.

COREM Project Manager, Greg Bott is committed to supporting community organisations in our region switch to solar through our partnership. “COREM is excited about the launch of the Revolving Energy Sub Fund created in association with NRCF. Our goal is to help community organisations switch to solar through access to a zero-interest loan for installation which is simply paid back through savings on their electricity bills. Over the last 5 years COREM has funded a total of 140 kilowatts of solar power for 13 community organisations. This has produced over 200,000 kWh of renewable electricity and reduced the production of 16 tonnes of greenhouse gases every year.”

If you are a registered not-for-profit organisation within the Northern Rivers and would like to find out more about how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save on electricity bills call Greg on 0434672221 or email greg@corem.org.au

To discuss your eligibility and how to set up an interest-free loan to go green, complete the short Expression of Interest Form HERE and Greg will be in touch

In the words of Dan Quayle. “It’s time for the human race to enter the solar system.”
