Our Northern Rivers communities have faced a series of challenges this year, with the impact of drought, bushfires, floods and now COVID-19.
The Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF) is committed to standing with our community organisations in supporting those most vulnerable through these unprecedented times.
That is why, the NRCF have launched the Resilience & Regeneration Fund.
The Resilience and Regeneration Fund has been established by NRCF, the Portland House Foundation, the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation and a personal donation from our Chair, John Callanan to support local community groups in their response to crises – be it a global pandemic or natural disaster.
Donations to the Fund will help community groups to meet increasing demands on their services and adapt to changing environments as we all work together to build resilience within our community.
“We have a firm resolve to bring all our community resources together to help those most vulnerable to recover and most importantly, to build a more resilient community to future disasters and crises.” – John Callanan, NRCF Chair
Unlike other NRCF Funds, donations made to the Resilience and Regeneration Fund will flow directly through to a special Recovery and Resilience Grants Program in 2020.
If you want to give locally in the Northern Rivers, and be certain that your donations will be distributed where they are needed most – click here for more information and to donate.
Are you a Community Organisation who is on the ground supporting those in need?
